Indian Motorcycles is the oldest American motorcycle brand. It was founded in 1897 by George M. Hendee, disappeared from the market in the late 1970s and came back to life by Polaris Industries in 2011. Indian can look back on a unique motorcycle history, from countless victories in motorcycle racing between the world wars to the front deployment in World War II, the speed record of Burt Munro in 1967 on the legendary salt lakes in Bonneville to the winning of the American Flat Track Championships in 2017 and 2018 with the new FTR 750 racing bike. The legendary past plays a key role in the development of authentic Indian bikes. Another important part is the development of a future-oriented model range. All motorcycles are continuously updated and improved. New models are developed. Indian Motorcycles relies on future-oriented technologies. Get to know Indian Motorcycles and feel the spirit!

The success story of Volker Sicheler's first German motorcycle manufactury began with the conversion of a second-hand Harley in 1986. He founded his company Hollister’s MotorCycles in Zimmern-Horgen near Rottweil in Germany in 1988. From 1990 on, Volker Sichler became one of the first dealers in the region to sell imported, second-hand and new Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He started the customizing of own Harley-Davidson machines in 1996. At the beginning, the customizing was still done with purchased parts but is increasingly being replaced by the development of in-house components. The Hollister’s MotorCycles e.K. is entered in the commercial register in 2000. Then the development of self-designed and developed Hollister’s custom bikes started. Worldwide awards for the Hollister’s Phantom and Hollister’s Excite N ° 01. Volker Sichler has been an authorized dealer of Victory since 2012 and has been an authorized dealer of Indian Motorcycles since 2014.

Finest custombikes for 30 years

The story begins...

The success story of one of the first german motorcycle factories starts with the conversion of a second-hand Harley.

Foundation of Hollister’s MotorCycles in Zimmern-Horgen near Rottweil with production, workshop and showroom.

Sales of self-imported second-hand and new Harley-Davidson motorcycles.

Customizing by converting Harley-Davidson bikes with purchased parts and first own parts.

Certification and approval as a national manufacturer with its own manufacturer number at the Federal Motor Transport Authority in Flensburg.
The focus is on the customizing of self-made components in all variations.

Exceptional design in combination with Hollister's innovation. The MultiBikeController (MBC) sets new standards in the on-board electronics of motorcycles. It is under the saddle and controls all of the machine's electronic processes.

Hollister's Phantom becomes a legend. The completely unique, developed and designed unique specimen reaps top prizes on all shows of the motorcycle scene worldwide after the first performance in Rottweil, Germany. At the Daytona Bike Week in the USA, Hollister’s Phantom is named the “Most Beautiful Motorbike in the World”.

The limited edition Excite N° 01 is impressive as well. It wins first prizes at two major US motorcycle shows. The prizes were awarded by Harley-Davidson. Another honor: The international design award "Balance" in silver from the state of Baden-Württemberg.

Design award of the Federal Republic of Germany and international design award reddot in 2004. This is the basis for the establishment of an international distributor network.

The EC operating license and the COC papers facilitate the commissioning of Hollister's bikes in all EC countries, in Switzerland, in Russia and Australia.

Unique specimens from Hollister’s MotorCycles find lovers worldwide. Unique creations are created for customers and collectors in the Orient, in Russia, Australia, France, Germany and Switzerland.

New development of the Custom Twin series, New Generation. A special bike for less than 30,000 euros.
New development of the unique Bike Class, New Generation.

Hollister’s becomes an authorized dealer of the new US brand Victory Motorcycles.

The growth requires a new location. Hollister’s moves to spacious rooms in Dauchingen, Germany. Distribution of the US brands Indian Motorcycle and Victory.

New emission standards prevent the operation of engines which were previously used for custom bikes. Hollister’s MotorCycles develops Victory-based Euro 4-compliant custom bike conversions and becomes Brook Motorcycles distributor for Baden-Württemberg.

First custom bike conversions based on an Indian Scout. The beautiful Indian Mohwak sees the light of day.

and the story goes on...
